Planting Dreams Series

My third book series is based on my father’s Swedish ancestors who came first to Illinois, and then on to Salemsborg, Kansas in 1869.

 I follow the Samuel and Charlotta Johnson family from Sweden to the Kansas prairie in the first book, Planting Dreams.  The second book, Cultivating Hope features the homesteading years for the Johnson family. The third book, Harvesting Faith, continues to the end of my great-great grandmother’s life.

Charlotta’s thoughtful writing covers the time period of 1868-1919 and tells why the Swedish immigrants decieded to leave, their journey, and the life on the Kansas prairie.
